It's PC Danny Wilshire's first day on the job. He's on the 'bun-run' with DC Cat Cullen, picking up sausage rolls for the team. A large black vehicle deliberately mounts the pavement outside the bakery and crashes into them. The impact is swift and violent, hurling Danny through the shop window, and leaving his broken body in a heap of shattered display cabinets and crushed pastries.
